Of course I'm totally biased, but I consider our Gen X slang as the "coolest" and the proof is in the fact that many of the sayings have become timeless. I think every Gen feels the same of their own :-).
I remember telling myself I'll never be so un-cool when I get to be my parents age.
Fast forward and now I'm "salty" that despite my feeling young, hip and in-tune with my kid's generation..I'm so NOT!
I mean, take a hint "bruh" (that means mom these days ICYMI) that despite how hip ya feel... as spud McKenzie said ... party is over dude!! It becomes clear when you have to Google the slang and EVEN it can't tell you what it means... 😂
"Take the "L" and be CEO of your mom-era & live your best life, stop trying to use the slang because it's just sounds cringy!" This and other thoughts live rent-free in my mind FR.
Connect on some other level,and recognize everyone has a role to play. So in this generation, if your kid calls ya bruh it's their way of bringing you into their world and connecting. Take the "W." So many times I hear I'm not your bruh and you will respect me...umm it's not disrespect. Believe me you'll always be mom or dad when it matters.
