A Place for the everything … and everything in its place.

Updated: Oct 24, 2023

When we were kids, we’d get into all sorts of messes and get all sorts of messy.

So mom/dad would send us to take a bath/shower, and explicitly tell us to make sure we scrub real good, “remember to wash behind your ears and between your toes and don’t forget your bellybutton!” the instructions would trail behind us as we ran ourselves to the bathroom.

So as a kid, maybe you used a wash cloth/sponge for EVERY part, without a care in the world…all that mattered is that you got a bath (whatever that looked like..and of course …you followed the instructions given…right?😉). We were big kids we could bathe ourselves and mom/dad were so proud of us. Or at least that’s how we interpreted their happiness. Little did our younger selves realize, that their exuberance had a lot more to do with crossing one more thing off their busy to-do list; but of course they were proud!

So, then as the years went by, somewhere along the way… you realize “eww” I’m scrubbing my face with the same sponge I scrub my “what” with? 💩 You wonder, could this be contributing to the acne? Then..you also realize you have also been using the same towel to dry your whole body including face and hair; you think, no wonder my hair smells dirty by the end of the day.

The importance of proper hygiene goes beyond just bathing. The details matter. Helping understand the reason why we should use different sponges and different towels, leads to improved hygiene practices. These practices reduce the spread of bacteria that cause odor and may lead to skin problems such as acne.
